Recorded on August 9, 2008 at the JVC Newport Jazz Festival in Newport, RI, Live at Newport features 8 tracks including five new songs and features a performance by Christian that echoes his musical hero Miles Davis who recorded his own Newport CD 50 years earlier. The accompanying DVD will feature Scott performing 7 of the 8 album tracks at the JVC Jazz Festival this past Summer and also includes an all access pass into Christian's rehearsals at Berklee School of Music in Boston just two days prior to the festival. NIKKA COSTA CONCERT REVIEW AND TOUR DATE INFO

On Friday, 10/3/08, Nikka Costa kicked off her new cross country tour at The El Rey Theater in LA. Playing to a full house of about 500 people, Nikka wowed the crowd with her unique blend of funky and soulful music.

The atmosphere was one of total excitement as LA fans took in the first night of Nikka's cross country tour. Dressed in a bright green bikini top covered by an oversized vest decked out in full fringe, Nikka looked every part the funky soul diva as she ripped through an hour and 15 minute long set that spanned songs both new and old. Of all the songs performed off the new album, the best reaction was for “Stuck to You” and “Cry Baby”. Both of these songs seemed to touch the crowd deeply as they moved and grooved the night away!
