Playing for Change: Songs Around the World will be released by Concord Music Group on April 28, 2009. This incredible musical movement utilized mobile/video techniques to record outdoor musicians in cities and towns across the world in order to mix their sounds together. The purpose is clear: to connect, inspire, and promote peace across the globe--through music. From post-Katrina New Orleans to post-apartheid South Africa, spanning from the beautiful hills of Italy to the breezy beaches of California… the sounds of these musicians was captured in public parks, on cobblestone streets, on rooftops, around street corners…the performers changed, the environment changed, but the music & the message remained the same:
